Today’s hike at Mount Eddy had clear skies with a light breeze that became more apparent closer to the top that continued until I finished. The path in the beginning had a refreshing amount of soil that took a windy route through the woods passing a few lakes. There were some interesting moss covered trees color in bright green along with sporadic yellow California license plate stuck in the tree from what appears to be many years ago that may have been used to direct hiking enthusiasts. Aside from a pack of mountain bikers towards the beginning, there were a a handful of friendly hikers I came across mostly during the second half of the hike. I took many pictures towards the top of uniquely colored flowers and plants, which was a nice treat. The top was barren with nice view of Mount Shasta.
