Unbeknownst to me, Piestewa was hosting the 7 Peak Challenge this morning so parking was bad. It was nice to see all the lights on the mountain trail from so many hikers. Must have been a couple of hundred hikes that started around 5am. It was a cold morning, about 45 degrees when we started, but warmed up once the sun came up. Unfortunately we didn't get to the top to listen to the Drums and Flute this time but recommend anyone doing this hike to start and Peak before sunrise its worth it.
