Watched sunrise and had intermittent sun on trail..we warmed up quickly. Trail conditions were clear and no snow until past the fire road up to last stretch to peak, but just patches of snow and temps dropped significantly. Cold at peak and overcast. Park was closed due to large dump of snow the night before. Clear view of mount Baldy from Mt Wilson sign.

Hi! Was the access to trailhead still close? I heard it’s an additional 3 miles up to trailhead if gate is still closed due to govt shutdown
