Beautiful day with blue skies and a comfortable breeze. The trail was well maintained, and we didn't encounter any bugs until the peak. The first third was challenging- consistent uphill trek through the burn. I found the second third to be easier since there were several sections of mellow trail. However, my partner found this to be the most difficult part since it had some of the steepest uphill sections. The top third was the easiest, and we stopped to take in the views as we continued to ascend. Once we got to the top, we were blessed with beautiful views of the Sisters and Broken Top from angles we don't typically see. It was also a clear enough day that we could see Mt. Hood! It took us about an hour and 40 minutes to make it to the peak. Based on the description from All Trails, we were expecting this hike to be much more difficult than it was. We were pleasantly surprised. We definitely plan to go back with friends!
