We started one the trail early in the morning, hoping to finish before it warmed up too much. The road out was dirt, but not in terrible shape and the views surrounding it were incredible. There was nice shade most of the way up the trail, covered by foliage. On the first half of the trail, I felt as though I’d been transported out of the East Valley, there was running water and so many lush trees. We spotted plenty of little lizards on the way up, fortunately we didn’t have any rattlesnake sightings but there was one rattling to us from the bushes on our way down. The view was beautiful at the top of the peak and there were nice shaded places so sit and have a break before venturing back down. I loved this trail!
