My Solo backpacking trips always has its fair share of fears!

First,  I thought a bear was at my campground but found out later it was a guy dressed in all black packing up to leave. I was all alone again at another beautiful campsite! I had a deer visit throughout the day then at night got to see a shooting star! The next morning got up early to summit San Gorgonio. As I went around a corner I saw a heard of big horn sheep along the trail, I had to wait until they moved up but the leader was not happy with me. I was able to finally pass and then I looked back…… I saw he had followed me and was looking dead at me only a few yards away! I started praying and kept walking! Luckily I escaped without injury and made it to the Summit! I can not describe how beautiful the vistas are from the peak as I walked around  and took it all in.

Every peak has its own beauty and I have to admit San Gorgonio has my heart ❤️

Facing many fears along my peak challenges has brought me to a greater appreciation to all of my PCT, JMT, Thru hikers and section hikers out here putting it down solo!
