The beginning of the hike until about 2 – 2.5 miles in is pretty easy. Once you pass the rocky area and the Torreys trail split, the summit of Grays is deceptively far. It looks like there are only a handful of switchbacks but in reality there are ton. Trails were dry and clear with only a small patch of packed snow coming off the saddle. Continued on to summit Torreys as well.
