Very nice hike, the first two miles is where you gain the most elevation (steep) you sart at 4,600 ft and in two miles going up to 5,900 and also is the place where you are most expose to the sun, bring your MASK mosquitoes tasted awful and bug repellent. Once you pass the 2 miles mark the rest is easy, beautiful views, I was the only person in the trail all the way around, you can start as early as you want if nobody is at the gate you can pay in your way out ($10.00/car).  NOT CAMPING ALLOWED at this time.
