It was a foggy day for the most part. Sun did peek here and there. We started out hike a little before noon. Knowing the parking lot closes at 5:30 sharp we pushed the tempo a bit. It was a little past 1 by the time we reached the halfway point.  Sign does say if you're past noon you might not have enough time. We contemplated going back but decided to push on as much as we could before 2:30pm. Giving us 3 hours to make it back. The push was worth the summit. We got to the summit at about 2:30pm. We rested for 15 minutes and took pictures.  The descent was quicker. Made it back to car at about 5:10pm. Our average mile was a little over 27 mins per mile. Total time was 4 hours 42 minutes (paused at summit). Awesome hike and an even better feeling once the summit is reached. On to the next one.
