Warm day, completely sunny and clear skies. This one is definitely a slow burn, but the view on top is worth it. Bathrooms, cafe, and water refill stations all closed at summit; luckily, we brought plenty of water (I finished my 3L by the end), food, and were able to sneak away to find a quiet spot to relieve ourselves when needed.

This is my first peak of the challenge, while my groupmates have already done Baden-Powell and Sitton. But I'll be caught up with them by the end of summer. We're hiking every weekend until we tackle Whitney in September.

My only caution, your knees will hate you after the descent if you're not prepared.

And when it feels long and too difficult, just tell yourself the peak is only 5 minutes away. After enough 5 minutes, it will eventually be true!
