A fast, straightforward hike up to the peak of Mt. Baden-Powell. At less than eight miles round trip, we felt free to start a little later than our usual sunrise starts and had no trouble finding parking or with the heat being too much. A good training hike; we pushed a very quick pace as part of our training for doing Whitney as a day hike. Trail is extremely clear, well maintained, and easy to follow. Views from the peak are excellent.
