That is possibly the most challenging hike I've ever done in the Bay Area, when you consider length (a 15.5 mi loop), total ascent (~4,300 ft), and the fact that many claim Hobbs Road is the steepest trail in the Bay Area. (However, I haven't hiked Rose Peak yet, so my opinion could change by year's end). But, it was a great day to do it. It can get very, very hot in Henry W. Coe, but the temps were quite comfortable today. The hike along the length of Blue Ridge is quite nice.

  1. Great job!! Mt. Sizer is no joke, the pictures really don’t do it justice, especially the steepness. And wow look at that snake!
