This was the first time I hike any of the peaks alone.  I have to say it went well.  I met a wonderful group of hikers from Orange and Los Angeles County working on their Six Pack of Peaks as well.  It was nice chatting with them.  This is the second time I've done Mt. Pinos.  The first time I was so disappointed as it was so different from the other peaks in the challenge.  This time I took the time to enjoy the scenery.  The trail between Mt. Pinos and Sawmill Peak is just beautiful.  This is my first hike of the peaks this season, by this time last year I was almost finished.  Mt. Pinos is a good way to get started this season.
