After tackling Picacho Peak, I figured I would save myself another long drive and just head down to take on Wasson. I was tired going into the hike, but it wasn’t too difficult. It was pretty warm by the time I started hiking, but the clouds were beautiful and giving some breaks from the sun. I brought more than enough water, so I wasn’t too worried. I took my time and really enjoyed this last hike of the winter challenge. Bonus: the ocotillos were plentiful and in full bloom! Chollas were also blooming and some saguaros were starting to bloom as well. There were sporadic poppies and other wildflowers. The trail was very rocky going up, but was much smoother coming back down on Hugh Norris Trail (I did the loop). It was a beautiful hike!
