While at the airport looking for which hikes to enjoy on my short vacation (6 days, 4 free days and 2 travel days), I came across the 6-Pack of Peaks Challenge. It was a perfect mix of new and familiar trails and I spent a few hours calculating the combo of travel times, trail times, and weather conditions and came up with a plan to gitterdun!
Day 1 would be Fremont Saddle, Camelback, and Piestewa Peak. Could this old, conditioning-waning winter body do 3 peaks in one day?
I did. Even surpassing my own expectations. Made it home in time to shower and take friends for dinner too 🙂
And what might I say about trail conditions? Rather typical on this day – a busy stair master with a few interesting people, this time for me was seeing a few folks barefoot.
PS. I’m writing this after Peak 4, which foiled my plans a bit but still hope to get all 6 peaks in with the last 2 tomorrow.

That’s amazing, I love this!
Thanks Kristin!
(And I managed the last 2 yesterday and will post those logs soon)
Getting it done. CONGRATS!
