Always a good workout from trailhead to icehouse canyon . . .
permits are at the permit box at TH… dont forget…we met some rangers who did check for permits . .
Perfect fall day . . .water still plentiful on trail . . .
early start to avoid the sun exposure in the mid/late afternoon . . .
Icehouse parking full by 7am…probably bc its a weekend (sun)
other groups ontrail (San Diego meetup outdoor enthusiasts) and ‘fools traverse' challengers . .
lots of berries near summit…do bears eat these?
