Third times the charm. Tried this last fall and this spring and had to turn around due to too much snow. Decided to do a two for one and knock off cucamonga, bighorn and Ontario in one shot. Started out around 5:30 and finished around 2:30. Overall the weather was nice, started to warm up a little towards the end. Should have brought a little more food and a little more water. I had 2-1/2 liters and was dry by the notch on the way down. Could have filtered from the little streams but decided to book it down to the car where I had a stash. Trail is in good condition and views are amazing. Did Cucamonga then Bighorn and lastly Ontario. Wasn’t sure if it was better to go up or down the steep section on the Cucamonga side of Bighorn. Decided to go up and it’s a butt kicker. I would probably go down if I do it again especially after talking to a couple ladies in their 70’s who said they had done it and it wasn’t too bad.
