Last year we did Cucamonga so I was familiar with the area. We started out at 6:32am the day after a storm passed over. Parts of the trail had what looked like coconut sprinkled over the ground but it was ice. It was 12mi hike done in 6 1/2 hrs. At the peak I clocked the wind at 26.5mph and with the windchill it was 27 degrees.. Been a long time where I wore my gloves from start to finish. 3 false peaks near the top (you think you are there but not quite yet…)
