The trail was already crowded with a 7am start. Conditions at the bottom half of elevation was very hot…very hot! Made a few stops for the dog to get some cool water and take a breather. Lots of cattle on the lower half of the trail. Once we broke through the lower hills and got the higher elevations there was a refreshing breeze that help keep the temps down. Very clear day and the sun was beating down hard. It was a very enjoyable hike and was our first time!
