I love doing the Central Coast challenge because it’s taking me to places that I’ve never hiked before. Kicking off the Six POP Central Coast with this peak. I read the reviews and it seemed like a good place to start. Plenty of parking on Patricia Drive where the trailhead starts. No toilets. A little bit up the trail there is a cattle gate which appears to be locked, but there is a pedestrian gate that you can push open. There are a few trail junctions but I followed the Summit Trail signs. The last half mile the trail was a little rocky. The trail ends when you reach the two benches. You can continue upwards, but I heard it’s a scramble to reach the tippy-top. I chose not to go on.  The stats – 3.9mi, 1213’ elevation gain, 1hr 57min (only took a break at the top), drank 34oz water, brought snacks but did not eat them. Happy Trails!
