The weather was already pleasantly warm as we started on the trail from Angelus Oaks at 5:45 a.m. In addition to my usual two hiking buddies, we were pleased to join Shana Morda and her Happy Hikers for this trip up to the summit of Mount San Bernardino. Loved the pretty green landscape and great views, including Big Bear Lake out in the distance. We reached the peak at 11:15 and rested for about 45 minutes before starting the trip back down the trail. Finished up at 4:30, grateful to have met my goal of finishing up by nightfall. Next up: San Gorgonio on June 30. 🙂
