I hiked up with a girlfriend who likes scrambling, like me. It was a very slow climb/hike to the summit, due to all of the cables that were located in the inaccessible sides of the mountain. We found that part to be fun but both neither of our spouses would’ve enjoyed this, so be aware that there’s a lot of pulling up and pushing with your feet using the cables before attempting the hike. On the other hand, we passed a dad, a boy of about 10 and his very elderly grandfather on their way back down, and they all had a good time.
The weather was cool and breezy at Noon, when we started up, and we were in the shade of the north side of the mountain for the 1st half of the ascent. We had clear views all the way to the horizon and took some great pics at the summit. It was a different experience than our other hikes (more climbing, less hiking) but I’d do it again!
