Headed down to Tucson to hike two peaks for this challenge, Picacho and Wasson. Had a downpour all morning when we were supposed to start Picacho. We postponed until the afternoon when most of the rain was gone. Started hiking around 2ish and it was nice out. About half way up it started to drizzle on us. When we reached the first set of cables the wind was insane, almost lost a few hats. We tried to wait for it to die off but it wasn't subsiding and we were running out of day light so we decided to push on. All the rain definitely made the rocks more slick. Luckily we had gloves for the cables. Underestimated this short hike for sure especially in the conditions but it was beautiful and challenging none the less. Would love to go back when conditions are better to enjoy the views a bit more. Lots of fog obstructed our views.
