we jumped onto trail 300 early this morning to the summit of Piestewa Peak. The trail was quite busy, despite a predicted high temperature of 98. This hike was quick and definitely one of the easiest of the winter challenge. I’m glad we saved it for last! There was some shade as we made our way up the mountain and a lot (like really…. A LOT) of stairs. We marveled at how much work was put into the creation of this trail! This is one I would definitely do again, even on a warmer day- but I would definitely be sure to start early.
