Our second hike for the day after Camelback Mountain. Our plan was a sunset hike so we started around 1530. When we got to the parking lot, there was still a lot of cars, luckily we found an empty spot right away. The trail was way easier than Camelback , except on the last few feet to the summit.  Along the trail there were a lot of  “rock bench” where you can easily take a break. And yes, the sunset was spectacular.

  1. You mentioned that you went at sunset, was it difficult returning to the trailhead? I’m trying to plan out my Six Peak hikes for optimal times.

    1. Hi Jenny, sorry for the very late reply. I did not see any notification. Anyway our plan was to be at the summit for the sunset that’s why we started around 1530 but we reached the peak early and did not want to spend too much time there. We started heading down after resting and that’s when we caught the sunset. No difficulties returning to the trailhead.
