What a phenomenal hike. It’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced. Long hike. Lots along a ridge with vast valleys and mountains on either side. We had a fairly easy time staying on trail even over the boulders. It takes a while to realize which peak is the final as the quartz doesn’t stand out until you get closer. You’ll start seeing big chunks here and there. The hardest part was figuring out how exactly to get on the peak. There are mostly sheer drop offs so you figure out the only way possible. Once on top you’re surrounded by huge slabs of quartz that look like they just popped up out of the top of the mountain. So worth the hike. Drive was a little iffy and we got off track getting out so watch for that. Saw cows and a jack rabbit. A must hike!
