The weather was just perfect for a hike this morning,  it was dark, windy and rainy but beautiful!  The moon was still high in the sky when I started hiking.  From the parking lot I could see the flashlights of hikers that had started earlier and were already close to the summit. They seemed to be so far up that looked like fireflies.  It was pretty dark and it was still raining when I started,  it smelled so fresh and beautiful!  It was food for my soul.  The trail was pretty steep and since I haven't hiked in a bit my heart and legs started feeling it.  Several times I thought about turning around and leaving it for another day,  not that the trail was difficult,  no,  it was just that I am out of practice!  I am glad I kept going,  an hour later I was at the top.  Such a beautiful view of the city from up there!
