What a difference a few hours makes!   I had hiked this trail with my daughter just a couple of weeks prior and started around 9 AM.  This time, my partner and I decided to get an extra-early start so that we could watch the sun rise from the summit.  Wow!… it was such a wonderful experience to hike together in the darkness, with the uphill route all to ourselves, except 1 other hiker who we passed early on.  We reached the top well before our ETA.  It felt terrific to know that we were able to make it up much more quickly than we had expected, and we were feeling jubilant!  Admittedly, the cold wind and the prospect of now waiting nearly an hour in what seemed to us > 20 year-old Phoenicians to be ‘frigid' conditions put just a slight damper on our jubilance 🙂   But in all seriousness… it was yet another fantastic adventure shared with my amazing partner and that, my friends, is what matters most!
