This was my first attempt at climbing a peak solo. In fact, I think it was my first ever solo hike. I usually at least bring my dog. I had a wonderful day! 16 miles is a long time to be quiet though. Towards the end of the day I was missing conversation. I didn’t see anybody until just after the 3 mile mark, then I started to see people every so often. The parking lot was full when I arrived at 7. I got the last spot.
