The drive to San Jacinto added time to an already long hike day. Our usual route to the Trailhead was closed due to construction. The detour made our usual one hour drive two. Once we got to the trailhead we were worried the rest of the day was going to be a bust as we were welcomed by a plethora of mosquitos. Luckily, it got better as we made our way up into the elevation. The weather was nice and the trail conditions good. This was our final peak before Mount Whitney the following weekend!
