We started with the 10:10a tram up the mountain. By the time we got started on the trail about 10:45-11a. We stopped at the ranger station, got our permit and headed towards round valley. We stayed to the right at every turn to prevent getting lost. The trail seemed so much harder than any other we had done despite the east incline and mileage being fairly short. I attributed the toughness to me being sick for the last week and a half before the hike, little activity for 3wks, and the heat. The views were great and we spent some time at the peak to get a pic of all 4 markers and the sign. We headed back down at a great pace had a drink at the cafe to celebrate and head home.
