Without taking the tram this is the shortest route to the peak. I clocked out with 13.1 miles. It may be the shortest but it's also very steep with 4500′ elevation gain. The trail did not disappoint. The views up, down, and at the summit were amazing. This is a less traveled route to the peak so the trail was not ever crowded (hiked on a Saturday).

    1. Thanks Jeff! Since I already finished the challenge, I challenged myself to finish out the available peaks for SoCal. I believe there is 11. This hike was #10. Last on the list for me is Santiago Peak. Hoping to bag it in a few weeks. Happy trails!
