The start of the year and a second trip to Santiago Peak.  This was another solo hike to begin the year and was very enjoyable as most people were probably sleeping in from a night of celebrating the New Year.  I took my Jeep Wrangler up the road and it was a very bumpy ride.  But as far as the trail it is just a road leading up to the summit which has some amazing Ocean Views.  I recommend this hike in cooler weather as there is not a lot of shade.  Also, if you plan on driving up the road, make sure you have an All Wheel Drive and / or 4×4.  Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!
