This was a long hike but not as steep and difficult. It was cold and windy at times but overall cool weather making the hike more enjoyable. We had a lot of fresh snow starting at the icehouse saddle. There were some sketchy areas so having hiking poles and microspikes and taking it slow really helped. The view at the top was beautiful. We had 33 people and all of us summited. What a great feeling! This was my sixth peak but I know it won’t be my last. Having complete this challenge really motivated me to continue with my hiking journey. I look forward to complete the remaining of the SoCal peaks, and maybe, just maybe, I will be able to hike Mt Whitney someday!
