I read there was still some snow last weekend but it was all melted out from our warm weather by Sunday. Warm and breezy day. Started the trail just before sunrise and there was plenty of parking in the lot.
It looked like Hwy 2 was open again at RedBox. Gaia app showed a shorter trail called Firebreak. I would not recommend! The scramble to get to it looked really loose and NOT maintained.
Pretty much had the trail to myself the whole way up. Made it by 8 am and saw about 20 people hiking in on my way down.
