This hike was a nice spin on the traditional Thanksgiving Day 5k race. Parking was tight, I was able to grab a spot as someone was pulling out. I knew this was a busy trail, and boy it was even on the holiday. Even though it was a short hike, it still gave me a nice challenge with some scrambling at the top. Not a lot of space to hang out at the top, especially with the crowds. I would like to hike this again on a less busy day (if such a day exists!). I am a slower hiker, especially going down, and I could feel the pressure of people behind me for the majority of the hike. Overall, it is a well kept trail and easy to follow. The weather that day was chilly, but you warm up quick enough going up the incline. Views of Phoenix were pretty cool and visible the whole hike. This was a nice quick hike that left me plenty of time to get home and cook my Thanksgiving dinner!
