I supposed I’m not the only one that planned to go to Baldy to start the 2021 challenge, especially for me that missed the opportunity last year to hike any of the original peaks. My friends asked where we’re going and said Baldy and then a couple days after we heard yhe news of over 100 cars stranded in the area… going through the remaining 8 and the only viable to kick 2021 challenge is Sitton peak, hence the afterthought.????.
The trail wasn’t that busy initially, there were only 2 vehicles when we parked considering it was almost 7a. As usual, the last half mile is always the challenging part  but made it to the peak with a handful of challengers. Someone stole the nicer sign… sigh…

Half an hour later hikers started trickling in and made me uneasy and round up the group for a quick photo op and head back down.

There are some things that motivate me to hike back a little faster and for this trail is to grab a cold soda in the store and probably some pies like last time. And yet another disappojntment, they are closed and wont open until next week… at least i crossed out one from the list to finish????
