Glad I didn't let the current reviews on All Trails scare me off. I think this is a little gem for moderate hiking or trail running. The grades were mild (except last half mile that everyone mentions) and varied. No continuous strain of up or down either direction. The single track trail was pretty and yes, some heavy vegetation on the sides at times but I could always see the trail and where I was stepping. I wore shorts and short sleeve shirt and did not mind some plants brushing on me on the occasions that they did, unless I develop poison oak.  For that reason only, I'd recommend covered arms and legs or make sure to bring wipes/ soap for after the hike just in case. Bugs were not a problem for me this AM, possibly because it was overcast. Maybe the bugs are fair-weathered pests only. Parking and pit toilets available across the street from the trailhead. Signage on the trail was perfect. Many trail options for future hikes/ runs.

    1. Most recent reviews since summer time reported over grown, washed out, and relentless bugs for most of the hike. I either had my rose colored glasses on or I scored a stellar day. Day 2 and no sign of poison oak.
