Gorgeous weather, lots of flowers and good company!
I wanted to do this as the first peak and with people who wouldn’t care if we had to turn back since I’m not sure I’m in good enough shape to get through it.
I am happy to say I made it up. The majority wasn’t too bad … just the last half mile was killer. But the views made it worth it!!!

Congratulations Karen! What a great accomplishment to have your first peak under your belt. What’s next? Oh, and if I may say, you should never have to worry about what people think if you need to turn back. Safety is always the number one priority. My humble opinion, if people don’t understand that, they shouldn’t be out there with others. Happy you made and just remember, smart hikers make smart choices. 🙂
