Beautiful hike on a beautiful Spring day. This was the last of our 6-peak challenge, and it did not disappoint! We did the loop trail and hiked from the King Canyon Trailhead via the Wash,  then up King Canyon Trail to the Hugh Norris Trail and up to the Peak. Blooming Ocotillos, Saguaros, and smaller cacti. Gorgeous, 360-degree views at the top of Wasson Peak. Clear skies all around!  Weather was perfect – 60s when we started at 80 degrees at 12 noon when we finished 4 hours later. We got to the parking lot (across from the Desert Sonoran Museum) at 8am and didn't even enter the Saguaro National Park proper, so no need to pay the entrance fee ($25/car) but I'd done it already online the night before. Happy to support our National Parks system! No bathrooms at the trailhead, so stop at the visitor center if you need to go. I'll definitely do this hike again.
