Final hike.

I managed to squeeze it in just before the year has ended. I am feeling rather good about having the discipline to finish this challenge. Yay for me.

Diablo is an oldie but a goodie, I have done variations on the Mitchell Canyon – Summit Loop many many times. It's always a fantastic workout with gorgeous views. While today was sunny, it was also very wintry. Everything is green again, the snow covered Sierras were visible on the horizon, there were remnants of ice on the muddy trail. The wind on the top was freezing. I went from hiking in short sleeves sweating up a storm to wearing my puffy and hat in like 5 minutes. It was quite a shock to the system.

Did the back and forth in 6 hours. All and all a good push.

Happy Holidays to All!
