Pardon the double post, but letting folks know that our permit for August is no longer valid due to the fire. I was also informed by the ranger station that it might be closed for some time.

    Thanks!

    Hi all,

I received a call from the ranger station the other day letting me know that the permit that we have for San G and San Berdu in August is no longer valid due to the fire. He further said that the San Gorgonio Wilderness may be closed for some time (indefinitely).

    Hope that was helpful.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the info! And it was good to see you last Sunday.

We were initially going via Vivian Creek but decided to follow the same route you did (Forsee Creek to South Fork). We just requested for a new permit with the changes.

    Happy Trails!

    Hi Gerardo,

I hope this is not too late, but to add to the list already provided, Friends That Hike and L.A. Trail Hikers also do the 6-POP. Check out their Facebook page.

The Sierra Club also posts hikes that include the 6-POP. Here’s the link: https://angeles.sierraclub.org/activities.

    Happy trails!
