Hiking gives me such peace and takes me away from the rat race of life.  I used to run on the beach for exercise and stress relief, but injuries preventing me from returning.  I found hiking such a better pace and such beauty in nature gives me a great feeling.  It takes all the bad days away.  I also love meeting new people and making new friends.
