My friends encouraged me to start hiking to get over some prior trauma.  In the past 7 years I have hiked out my sadness and pain off and on.  When COVID limited public ventures I needed an outlet to get healthier and control my stress.  I began tracking my hikes last June 13 as part of the 52 Hike Challenge.  While I wasn't sure if I could complete 52 hikes in one year, but six months later I am getting close to hitting 100 hikes and never felt better.  The 6 Pack of Peaks San Diego challenge has pushed my endurance and I'm so proud to say I finished the 6th peak in less than 6 weeks of starting.
