Got lucky for my second hike of the day that it was overcast hiking through the lava fields. Lots of walking on rocks until the
Maiden Peak!  Another hike I didn’t know about and is now a favorite!  Went my Maiden Lake on the way down. Spectacular day!
While we did make it to the summit, two wrong turns and extra miles made it eventful. Today a race was going on. Their signage
Dusty trail but beautiful scenery!! Â We were luck to have less smoke today. Also early enough to where there were few others on the trail
