Belknap Crater

Very foggy. Trail was in good shape but navigation was needed at times. See attached photos of pivot into hike.  

This is an easy hike until the last mile to the top, which is a sharp incline up, in sand. You are hiking through/on lava

This was my second time up Belknap Crater this year. I forgot to log it in August.  I went with a friend from the coast

This was a hike we started a little later than we planned, but we were enjoying the walk and all of the opportunities to take

Our BATS trio (badasstrailsisters) began hiking at 8am. Temperature was perfect. Hiking through the lava gets a bit tedious, but it is fascinating to look

Belknap Crater is a very different trail, with most being in lava fields.  At the beginning is a couple sweet small forests to trek through
