We left Camp Sherman at 4:30 am to summit Black Butte for sunrise. It was dark, cold and clear. Our group included my 7 year

First hike of the 6 peaks and it was short and sweet. Was a round trip of 4.23 miles with approximately 1,460ft of elevation gained.

Chipmunks were found, chipmunks were fed…  don’t judge me.

Black Butte marked the start of a ten day, 100-mile hiking trip in Oregon to knock out all six of the peaks in this challenge.
