Maiden Peak

Started at the Maiden Lake Trailhead as the other trailhead was listed as closed. Gentle climb in the beginning that increased around the third mile.

The gate to Gold Lake was not open when we arrived in the morning so parked on Waldo Lake Rd across from Fuji Mountain Trail. 

Beautiful hike!  Took about 4 hours round trip totaling approx. 13 miles, 3,171 ft. elevation gain.  The gate along highway 58 was closed upon arrival,

It was around 40 degrees when we started out after 7 am. Trail takes you through the forest full of witches hair. About 1 mile
