This was a great hike! It was a moderately warm day but we started early and had periods of intermittent shade. A couple of us
First 0.9mi of the trail is pretty steep. Very mellow with some good views up until about mile 4. Last mile or so is also
Cool conditions. Black mountain summit was enveloped in clouds so was cold and had no views.
