Second peak for the New Year. This has been a thing for us, to complete both Cuyamaca and Volcan same day for logistics reason.

Trail conditions were great. 40°F Sunny and windy at the summit. A good amount of other hikers and dogs enjoying the beautiful day!
We started at the road and trip total was 5.55 miles, 1,390ft of gain, and took a little over 2hrs including time at the top.
Was a gorgeous, brisk day. Made the initial 0.8 mile parking lot walk up to the trail head and then up the 3.2 mile trail
